
Vehicle ramming leads to foot chase, long charge list near Meadow Lake
A man from Waterhen Lake First Nation is facing multiple charges after RCMP say a vehicle was rammed with three people inside.
The incident happened in mid-May and led to an investigation by Meadow Lake RCMP. No one was seriously injured.
Officers attended a residence on Waterhen Lake First Nation on May 30 to arrest the suspect. Police say he fled out the back door but was arrested shortly after, with help from RCMP Police Dog Services. During the arrest, he allegedly threatened one of the officers.
The man is charged with assault with a weapon, mischief over $5,000, dangerous operation of a vehicle, intimidation, operating while prohibited, resisting arrest and uttering threats. He was also arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order.
