The Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign was a huge success in Melfort.

Proceeds from Smile Cookies sold from April 28 to May 4 went to Plus Industries.

“Thanks to your generosity in this year’s Smile Campaign!” Plus Industries posted on their website. “Thank you for purchasing cookies for yourself and/or others!”

They went on to thank Bourgault Industries and Bourgault Tillage Tools for buying cookies for the St. Brieux School, Diamond Dodge for purchasing tickets for Reynolds Central School, and Ripley Ford for buying cookies for Brunswick Elementary School.

RBC also joined Plus Industries in making cookies and made a monetary donation.

Between cookie purchases and donations, $15,449.58 was raised for Plus Industries programming.

Plus Industries works with people with intellectual disabilities. They offer various day programming that includes swimming, crafts, confidential paper shredding, and woodworking.

The organization also offers summer lawn care and winter snow removal for residents, and Plus does paper and cardboard recycling.
