Jul 11, 2025 | 10:54 AM

The new date for Street Fair has been scheduled for Saturday, July 19.

Central Avenue will be filled with activity and plenty of family fun. Street Fair’s 20th anniversary will kick off with a procession with the Highlander Pipes & Drums starting from 14th St. and Central Ave.

Lauren Lohneis will play O’Canada on the saxophone at 11th St. There will be live music throughout the day at Memorial Square starting at 10 a.m.

Vendors, volunteers, and sponsors have all signed on for the big event, and the 20th anniversary has been able to fill over 130 spaces along Central Avenue. Downtown businesses, non-profit organizations and vendors old and new will be providing merchandise, information and fun activities lining up along both sides of the avenue.

Street Fair is the largest single day event in our Downtown,” Trusty said. “We have grown over the years through the hard work of my predecessors. I would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge previous executive directors for the commitment to this event. Jayne Remenda, James Banman, Bob Gill, Rick Orr and Carolyn Carleton have all added different elements and vision to this event. This is my fourth year organizing Street Fair and cannot thank the board of directors for their support.”

A new addition to Street Fair this year is Art Alley located along 10th Street East. Live art demonstrations of different mediums will be showcased. The Klassic Kruizers Kar Klub is back and new to 10th St. is the Vintage Power Museum.

“The positive energy of Street Fair is important for our city,” said Trusty. “It helps to create family memories and many of the activities for children are free. It’s an opportunity for us to come together as a community, see old friends and enjoy the multicultural elements this event brings to our citizens.”

Trusty added Street Fair is very much family oriented with free bus service provided by the City of Prince Albert. She reminds people to grab your supper meal and take in the closing act of Oscar’s Hollow closing out the event.
