Over 130 golfers will play their third and final round of the 2025 Saskatchewan Senior Golf Championships on Thursday at the Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current.

Of the three titles set to be claimed later this afternoon (senior women’s, men’s and men’s mid-masters), at least one local golfer is inside the top five in each, with just 18 holes left to play.

In the senior women’s 50+ division, defending champion and Prince Albert native Pauline McDougall is in fourth place, however, she trails the leader by 18 strokes. Andrea Ring, also from P.A., is in solo 10th, 34 strokes behind first place. Ring also holds seventh place in the women’s 60+ division, which is 26 strokes behind the leader.

As for the senior men’s 55+ division, the closest local to the top of the leaderboard is Martin Ring. The native of Prince Albert is currently in fifth place at four-over-par, eight strokes behind first place.

Other Cooke Municipal members include Trent Kachur (T-8), Darren Jenkins (T-12), and Cliff Selander (T-27).

Meadow Lake has two competitors in the senior men’s 55+ field, as Brent Dubray began the day at T-31, while Tom Harrison started the morning at T-39.

Meanwhile, Melfort and Humboldt each have one competitor, with Melfort’s Kendell Arndt at T-67 and Humboldt’s Frank Terryberry at T-71.

In the super senior men’s 65+ division, Meadow Lake’s Harrison sits solo 12th, and Humboldt’s Terryberry sits solo 24th.

Another Meadow Lake native, Neil Curtis, is competing in the men’s legends 75+ category and is in third place.

Harrison, meanwhile, also fits into the men’s senior 55+ white tees group, where he’s solo second.

And finally, in the men’s mid-masters (40+), two-time defending champion and Spiritwood native, Todd Turgeon, is one shot off the lead after a combined two-round score of -3, as he currently sits in a tie for second.

Prince Albert’s Jeff Whitfield isn’t too far behind at -1 and a tie for fourth, while Meadow Lake native Chris Reid is immediately below Whitfield at +2, holding solo sixth.

Other locals in the mid-master include Cliff Selander (P.A./15th), Brent Dubray (Meadow Lake/16th), and Nico Jacobs (Humboldt/Withdrew).
