The Battlefords North Stars have yet again made another big addition to their forward group for this upcoming season, announcing the signing of 2006-born Burnaby, B.C. product Baden Pazdzierski.

Pazdzierski is coming off a strong season with the Nanaimo Buccaneers of the VIJHL, where he posted 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points in 36 games. The 19-year-old forward also earned a call-up to the BCHL’s Cranbrook Bucks, contributing a goal and an assist over a three-game stint.

“Baden is a cerebral player with an elite shot and playmaking abilities,” North Stars head coach and general manager Connor Logan said. “He plays a 200-foot game and prides himself on playing on both sides of the puck. He’s a valuable piece that is gonna make big contributions to our success this season.”

Before stepping into junior hockey, Pazdzierski developed through elite programs across Western Canada. In 2023–24, he skated with the U18 North Shore Warriors in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), putting up 10 points (3G, 7A) in 11 games.

The year prior, he captained the U17 AAA Vancouver North West Hawks in the BCEHL. Pazdzierski led the league in scoring that season with 59 points (19G, 40A) in 36 games and played a key role in helping lead the Hawks to a championship.

Known for his high hockey IQ, speed, and versatility, Pazdzierski brings a well-rounded game to Battlefords as the North Stars prepare for another competitive season in the SJHL.
