18-year-old shot and killed in Pelican Narrows

On Saturday, August 16 at 8:00 a.m., Pelican Narrows RCMP responded to a report of an 18-year-old male who had been seriously injured by a firearm on Kaskew Crescent in Pelican Narrows.

The male was quickly transported to the local health clinic, but was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving. An autopsy is set to take place on Monday, August 18 in Saskatoon.

The family of the deceased has been notified.

The investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe there is an increased safety risk in Pelican Narrows at this time.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate with assistance from RCMP Historical Case Unit police officers, Pelican Narrows RCMP, and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.

There are currently no suspects.
