Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team intercepted a large quantity of drugs that investigators believe were destined for the Spiritwood area.

On Aug. 7, members of the team approached a parked vehicle in Martensville as part of a trafficking investigation.

Police said an adult man and woman were arrested, and a search of the vehicle uncovered nearly 891 grams of cocaine, 629 grams of methamphetamine, 55 grams of crack cocaine, $7,990 in cash, a conducted energy weapon, an expandable baton and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, 45-year-old Arlene Sakebow of Saskatoon and 55-year-old Leon Clay of Pelican Lake First Nation face multiple charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, and weapons offences.
