SaskTel cellular outage across the province now repaired

Aug 22, 2025 | 10:13 AM

UPDATE #2: According to their page on X, formerly known as Twitter, SaskTel has repaired the outage. No details were provided on the cause of the outage.

UPDATE #1: SaskTel issued a statement shortly after 3:00 p.m. saying that they are still experiencing issues affecting all cellular voice services and about 3,000 business voice customers. Some cellular calls may still go through intermittently. Phone calls from SaskTel Home or Business Landline services are still operational.

SaskTel is currently experiencing an outage impacting wireless cell calls on its networks across the province.

The outage is also impacting the ability to call police, although the 911 service still works.

RCMP are reminding people, however, that 911 should only be used in emergencies.

While most callers would use 310-RCMP to call for non-emergencies, they can still access their local detachment in person.

The outage was reported just before 9 am on Friday and no estimated time of repair has been posted.

Business voice services are also out.
