A Tisdale Trojan has now officially signed with the Western Hockey League (WHL) team that drafted him.

Lanigan native Kash Elke signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

“Kash had a very good camp and proved to us he is going to be a big part of the organization moving forward,” said Warriors’ General Manager Jason Ripplinger in a press release. “He brings size and skill down the middle.”

Elke suited up just eight times for the Trojans this past season (posting four points), but is set to play full-time with them this fall.

The 15-year-old has spent the majority of his last two years in hockey with the Humboldt Broncos U15 AA club, including last season as their captain. In a combined 65 games, Elke has registered 95 points, with 66 of those coming during the 2024/25 campaign.

The six-foot-two, 165-pound forward ranked 8th in total points in the SAAHL U15 league last season.

A 2010-born product, Elke was named to the Development Camp roster for Hockey Saskatchewan’s U16 Program of Excellence earlier this summer, and was the 18th overall selection in the first round of the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.
