28-year-old woman dies following collision in West Hill

A car accident at a busy Prince Albert intersection has left one person dead and another in serious condition.

The Prince Albert Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the crash that happened just before midnight at 2nd Ave. W. and Marquis Road. A white SUV and a black vehicle collided.

Paramedics treated three occupants of the white SUV. Two had non-life threatening injuries, but the third occupant – a 28-year-old woman – was taken to hospital where she later died. The occupant of a black vehicle involved in the crash was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The Forensic Identification Section and the RCMP’s collision reconstructionist were called to the scene to help with the investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call police at 306-953-4222.

Police said any further updates will be provided when they become available or upon conclusion of the investigation.
