Shoplifter shoots security guard with BB gun: police

After getting caught shoplifting, a woman discharged a BB gun at a member of a mall’s security personnel.
That’s according to information provided by the Prince Albert Police Service, following an incident that happened Saturday afternoon at Gateway Mall.
At approximately 2:10 p.m, police responded to a weapons call. Arriving officers located the woman in the custody of security staff where she was arrested without further incident. Officers also seized an imitation firearm.
Through their investigation, officers learned that the woman was allegedly shoplifting and began to flee when confronted by security. Security reportedly attempted to detain the woman, however, she resisted arrest and discharged the imitation firearm at security personnel.
