Shingoose shares thoughts on representing Raiders at WHL Cup, first camp experience
It’s been a great start to the season for the Prince Albert Raiders team, but the Raiders prospects are thriving as well. Three of them were recently named to rosters for the upcoming WHL Cup running October 22 to 26 in Red Deer.
Representing the Raiders on the defending champion Team Alberta is forward Tripp Fischer, who the Raiders picked 52nd overall in the 2025 WHL Draft.
On Team Manitoba are Raiders 16th overall pick Athens Shingoose, and 62nd overall third round pick Brady Filmon, who were line mates together during the 2024-25 season with the RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg’s U15 program.
For Shingoose, it’s a continuation of an exciting year for him. While he enjoyed his first crack at Raiders camp earlier this year, the 15-year-old forward is excited to see where he stacks up against other prospects from around the league.
