RCMP make arrest following assault in Uranium City

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and faces multiple charges after an assault involving a firearm in Uranium City.
Fond du Lac RCMP responded to an altercation on Oct. 11 involving two men. Investigators determined one man assaulted the other before threatening him with a firearm and then fleeing the scene. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The morning after the incident Fond du Lac RCMP, members of the Critical Incident Response Team, and RCMP Air Services tried to locate the suspect and found him in nearby Uranium City where he was arrested without incident.
Maxwell Larocque of Uranium City is facing several firearms-related charges, including careless use of a firearm and assault causing bodily harm. Black Lake RCMP also had an outstanding warrant for Larocque.
