Manhunt underway for two suspects after armed SUV robbery in Meadow Lake

RCMP are searching for a man and woman wanted in connection with an armed vehicle theft in Meadow Lake.

Police say officers were called to a home on Second Street around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, after a report of a stolen SUV.

Investigators determined an altercation had occurred between two men and a woman at the residence. One man allegedly pointed a firearm at the other and demanded his car key. The weapon was not fired, and no injuries were reported.

RCMP say the male suspect and a woman left in the stolen car. Patrols were made in the area, but the pair were not located.

Police have since charged 33-year-old Ritchie Wolverine of Flying Dust First Nation with nine offences, including robbery with a firearm, careless use of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A 28-year-old woman, Ruth Arnold of Meadow Lake, is also charged with robbery with a firearm.

Warrants have been issued for both Wolverine and Arnold.

Wolverine is described as 5-9, about 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos, including words and numbers on his neck, a money sign and crown on his left arm, and a cross on his cheek.

Arnold is described as 5-7, about 130 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair.

Meadow Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
