Warrant issued for North Battleford woman after armed robbery on Highway 16 Bypass

Oct 27, 2025 | 4:49 PM

A warrant has been issued for a North Battleford woman following an armed robbery at a business along the Highway 16 Bypass last week that led to multiple arrests and charges.

RCMP say officers were called around 8 a.m. on Oct. 22 after a group entered the business, threatened a man with a knife and demanded his phone and wallet. No injuries were reported.

Police quickly spotted a suspect vehicle leaving a nearby parking lot and conducted a traffic stop, arresting one man and five women. Four of them were later released without charges.

Two women — A 21-year-old Mia Starchief from Mosquito, Grizzly Bear’s Head, Lean Man First Nation, and 33-year-old Celicia Pete of North Battleford — are charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and uttering threats.

Starchief faces an additional charge of resisting a peace officer, while Pete was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A third suspect, 35-year-old Angel Bear of North Battleford, has since been charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. RCMP say a warrant has been issued for her arrest and officers are continuing efforts to locate her.

Bear is described as five foot two, weighing about 100 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP or submit tips anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
