Man who drove into Melfort RCMP vehicles receives conditional sentence

Nov 4, 2025 | 2:36 PM

The man charged after driving a truck into parked police vehicles at the Melfort RCMP detachment has learned his fate.

Forty-five-year-old Terrance Whitehead of Saskatoon received a 15-month Conditional Sentence Order (CSO), meaning he will serve his sentence in the community under strict conditions, rather than spending time in jail.

Whitehead also received a one-year driving prohibition.

RCMP were called about a truck driving erratically and striking police vehicles at the detachment the night of June 17.

Whitehead exited the truck and a female passenger drove away, and both were arrested shortly after.

The 45-year-old faced three charges, including dangerous driving and drug-impaired driving.

His co-accused, Susan Godfrey, was previously fined and received a driving prohibition.
