Nov 7, 2025 | 9:18 AM

A 25-year-old woman from Thunderchild First Nation has been charged with second-degree murder after three men were found dead at a rural property northwest of Turtleford.

Police say officers responded to a report of three injured men around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Despite lifesaving efforts by officers and paramedics, all three were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators say each of the victims had sustained gunshot wounds and that multiple firearms were seized from the property.

Madison Paddy-Jimmy is charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 28-year-old Tonio Cantell from Island Lake First Nation. She was arrested the same day in Turtleford and is scheduled to appear in North Battleford provincial court today.

RCMP say the two other victims include a 46-year-old man from Turtleford and another man who has not yet been publicly identified. They say the victims’ families have been notified and victim services offered.

Police say investigators do not believe there are any additional suspects or victims.

“As always, if investigation determines an imminent safety risk exists, we will notify the public,” the RCMP said in a release.

The investigation is being led by RCMP Major Crimes, with assistance from officers in Turtleford, North Battleford, Saskatoon and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
