SaskTel to provide mental wellness app to wireless customers

Nov 12, 2025 | 3:00 PM

It’s an initiative that’s the first of its kind for SaskTel – offering access to mindfulness and stress-reduction resources to help customers improve their overall wellbeing.

The crown corporation partnered with the mental health company Calm, which offers supportive tools like guided meditation, soundscapes, music and mindfulness exercises to help relieve stress and anxiety. There are even Soothing Sleep Stories narrated by voices like Matthew McConaughey and Camila Cabello. The free premium membership to the app will be available to SaskTel and Lüm Mobile wireless customers.

“Supporting the mental wellness of our customers is a natural extension of SaskTel’s commitment to being a caring and community-focused company,” said Charlene Gavel, SaskTel President and CEO. “By working with Calm, we’re not only enhancing the value of our wireless services—we’re helping people across Saskatchewan tune out daily distractions and connect more mindfully to what matters most to them.”

In addition to promoting restful sleep, Calm offers practices for everyday mental health, and daily check-ins to promote self-awareness and an improved quality of life. The goal is to make mental health support accessible to everyone, said David Ko, CEO of Calm.

To activate the Calm premium membership, SaskTel wireless customers can text “Calm” to 42256 (4CALM) where they will be validated as a SaskTel wireless customer and sent a direct link to a Calm premium membership. Lüm Mobile customers can activate the Calm subscription in their myLüm account.
