Nov 27, 2025 | 9:30 AM

Saskatchewan RCMP are confirming the cause of Tuesday night’s crash south of Prince Albert that claimed the life of one man and sent another to hospital.

Around 6 p.m., police, paramedics and fire crews were called to a section of Highway 3, near Davis Road.

The RCMP’s investigation determined there were three vehicles involved: a van and an SUV collided before the van hit a third vehicle. The driver of the van was declared deceased at the scene and has since been identified as a 67-year-old man from Prince Albert.

The driver of the third vehicle, a 42-year-old man, was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious. The driver of the SUV did not report any injuries to police.

Highway 3 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Roughly 45 minutes later, paramedics responded to a second motor vehicle collision near the initial incident. There were no injuries in this incident.

It is unconfirmed that this second occurrence may have happened while vehicles were moving around the first incident.

Police continue to investigate.
