RCMP Major Crimes investigating suspicious death in Meadow Lake

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes unit is in Meadow Lake this weekend, investigating a death they deem suspicious.

Meadow Lake RCMP first received a report at around 8:50 a.m. on Nov. 28, explaining there was an unresponsive person in a parking lot near the junction of Highway 4 and 1st Avenue West.

Officers quickly located the person, who was declared dead at the scene. They have since been identified as a 29-year-old woman from Waterhen Lake First Nation. No further information was released about the victim’s identity.

RCMP are considering the death as suspicious.
