Fire at James Smith
House destroyed by fire at James Smith Cree Nation

The Kinistino Fire Department (KFD) was called to a house fire at James Smith Cree Nation Friday night.
Crews were called just after 9:30 p.m., and when they arrived on scene, the house was fully engulfed in fire and flames were showing through the roof.
The department worked through a chilly night to extinguish the flames after taking a defensive attack to limit any spread.
The KFD said the cold conditions were challenging as they had to keep all trucks and hoses from freezing up.
