Prince Albert Police report record number of gun seizures
Based on data collected to the end of November, the Prince Albert Police Service is reporting a record number of firearms seizures in 2025.
Approximately 192 firearms were seized in the community.
Fifty-one came from vehicles, and 48 were seized from residences. Another 36 were seized from persons, and 29 were turned in, meaning they were recovered.
After November’s Board of Police Commissioners’ meeting, Police Chief Patrick Nogier was asked by paNOW about the guns being seized. He confirmed these guns are not being used for recreation.
