Frigid weather postpones Twinkle Tour wrap-up to next week

Extreme cold has forced organizers to postpone the annual CJNB Twinkle Tour wrap-up event in North Battleford, pushing the celebration back to next week.

The City of North Battleford says the event, originally scheduled for this Saturday, has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 16, due to forecast wind chills expected to reach the minus-36 range.

The wrap-up event will run from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Discovery Co-op Mall parking lot at 9800 Territorial Drive. This marks the sixth year CJNB has partnered with the city on the Twinkle Tour.

CJNB 1050 AM will broadcast live from the site, where award winners will be announced for Best House, Best Block, People’s Choice and Best Business.

Treats and hot beverages will be available, and attendees are invited to participate in a scavenger hunt during the event.
