The Highway Hotline is advising drivers that both lanes of Highway 6 north of Dafoe are closed due to a motor vehicle collision.

They caution that motorists should be prepared to stop and use an alternate route if possible.

Drivers are reminded to follow the emergency personnel on scene and use extreme caution in the area.

Highways in the area are described as frost covered with some ice, while most highways in the northeast area also have icy patches with some loose snow.

Check the Highway Hotline before heading out today after last night’s rain and snow combination.

Light snow is expected to fall today with temperatures falling throughout the afternoon.
