Carrot River Outback Thunder lose to Saskatoon Royals

The Saskatoon Royals held a 3-0 lead and hung on to beat the Carrot River Outback Thunder 3-1 in PJHL action Thursday night.

Gavin Bodnarchuk was the lone goal scorer for the Thunder, as they got 42 saves from Hunter Nakonechny.

Carrot River’s record drops to 10-17-0-1, and they’re on the road this weekend to take on Regina and Fort Knox.

In AAA, the Tisdale Trojans host Moose Jaw twice this weekend.

Puck drop at the RECplex is 7:30 Saturday night and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The Trojans are six points out of fifth place.

The North East U18 AA Wolfpack has a tournament in Regina this weekend and will return to league action next week.
