One man charged, another wanted after firearm discharged inside home on MGBHLM First Nation
One man has been charged and another remains at large after a firearm was discharged inside a residence on Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man (MGBHLM) First Nation on Monday.
Battlefords RCMP were called to a home on the First Nation at about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 12 following a report of an armed individual.
Police said two men assaulted another individual at the residence, causing non-life-threatening injuries. One of the men is then accused of threatening occupants with a firearm and discharging it inside the home. No physical injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire.
With assistance from Saskatchewan RCMP’s Remotely Piloted Aircraft System and Police Dog Services, officers located and arrested one suspect nearby.
