Unger, Palmarin among SJHL weekly honorees
Kanyan Unger and Vincent Palmarin of the Warman Wolverines have been selected as two of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s players of the week in recognition of their performance over the last three games.
Unger was named the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the week after he tallied three goals and three assists including back-to-back multi point games for his hometown team. The Warman product has seven goals and 12 assists in 22 appearances with the Wolverines this season. He is currently on a six-game point streak and has netted six goals in a five-game scoring streak.
Team captain Palmarin was awarded the SuperU Defenceman of the week thanks to a big home-and-home series against the Battlefords North Stars in which he posted six assists, including a four-point night on Friday. The Wilcox, Sask., product is currently third on the team with 30 points including eight goals in 37 games.
It’s the second time this season that Palmarin has made the league’s weekly honour roll after earning the same award for the week of December 8-14th.
