UPDATED: Power outage hits north central Sask. following major storm
UPDATE: Around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, SaskPower said power had been restored to a majority of customers in Central North part of the province. The following areas that have been restored include: Prince Albert City, Shellbrook, Spiritwood, Candle Lake, Christopher Lake, La Ronge, and all surrounding rural areas. For the remaining customers without power in Tisdale, Nipawin, Carrot River, Tobin Lake and surrounding rural area, crews are currently out investigating and looking to restore power. More updates will be provided when available.

SaskPower reported that it was responding to outages in the entire ‘Central North’ portion of the province Saturday night. An estimated time of repair was not provided.
The entire city of Prince Albert went black around 10:50 p.m. following a major storm that brought destructive winds, heavy rain, hail and lightning.
