RCMP investigate two serious assaults in Pelican Narrows amid broader policing changes
A teenager and a man were found seriously injured on the same street in Pelican Narrows in separate incidents Saturday, prompting police to ask residents for surveillance footage as investigators determine whether the assaults are connected.
At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Oct. 3, Pelican Narrows RCMP received a report that an injured teenager had been found on the roadway outside a residence on Wood Crescent. EMS transported the teen to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers conducted patrols and interviewed witnesses but did not immediately identify suspects.
At approximately 9:35 p.m., police responded to another report of an injured person on the roadway outside a different residence on Wood Crescent. Officers provided first aid to an adult man before EMS transported him to hospital, also with serious injuries.
