Remembering Daleen Bosse for the last time

The eighth memorial run for Daleen Bosse – a murdered wife and mother – starts Tuesday in Martensville.

“This is the last one that we’ll be doing, we’ve been doing this for so many years now,” said her mother, Pauline Muskego.

The 25-year-old Bosse was last seen leaving Jax Night Club in Saskatoon in 2004. Her remains were found in a secluded area outside the city in 2008.

The first four runs were when Bosse was still missing, with the finish line in Saskatoon. The other four runs, including the latest, end at the Onion Lake First Nation.

“It’s a symbolic number for the native culture, to have four,” Muskego said.

The participating group of family and friends will travel 325 kilometres on foot over the four days of the run.

“There are still many missing and murdered aboriginal women, children and men in Canada,” said Muskego.

She hopes their efforts will encourage families going through similar tragedies.
