3rd Sask. transportation company approved since STC closure
The Highway Traffic Board has approved a third private transportation company to help pick up where STC left off.
After four months of waiting for the go-ahead, Saskatoon-based Forward Coach Lines and Parcel Service has joined Melville-based DiCal Transport and Regina-based Rider Express Transportation, which were both approved at the end of June.
Owner Hasan Topal said the vision to start the transportation service came to mind earlier this year, before STC stopped running in May.
“The idea was to provide the same service, but with smaller vehicles to make it more efficient and provide more comfort to passengers — as opposed to those big buses,” he said.
