Federal Consultation

Consultation on Sustainable Development Goals

Apr 10, 2019 | 10:00 AM

You are invited to take part in a federal consultation on the Sustainable Development Goals.

In September 2015, Canada and all other 192 United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the UN General Assembly.

This ambitious 15-year global framework includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets which are balanced across the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. These goals apply to all countries and represent a global call to action to end all forms of poverty, fight inequality, tackle climate change, protect the planet and ensure that no one is left behind. The SDG’s represent an opportunity to positively shape how societies of tomorrow grow and develop sustainably and inclusively to the shared benefit of all.

The Government of Canada is seeking Saskatchewan input on a whole-of-society National Strategy for the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Your participation is vital. Your ideas and insights will be gathered and passed on directly to Canada’s national strategy development and implementation team.
