Several firearms and a small quantity of cocaine were seized by RCMP after officers executed a search warrant on the Lac La Ronge Indian Reserve.

That’s according to a news release which states members of the La Ronge RCMP, Prince Albert RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Police Dog Services executed a warrant May 29 at the residence. During the search, a fire started inside the residence which was initially attended to by officers, but the fire flared back up and was then extinguished by the La Ronge Regional Fire Department. The residence suffered some fire and smoke damage, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

As a result of the search, several firearms and a small quantity of cocaine packaged for distribution was seized. Colton Ratt, 18, of La Ronge made his first appearance in court Thursday with charges of possession of a controlled substance and several firearm-related charges. Also facing firearm-related charges is 46-year-old Russell Ratt, who will next appear in court July 28.
