Collision with power pole leads to emergency siren sounding in Nipawin
Jun 20, 2019 | 10:34 AM
Despite the town’s emergency siren going off, there was no town-wide emergency in Nipawin last night.
The siren went off just before 10 p.m., but crews determined the alarm sounded because a vehicle collided with a power pole, shorting out the siren’s electric.
All emergency agencies including RCMP, EMS, and the hospital were notified by members of the Nipawin Fire Department that there was no immediate emergency for the town.
There were no injuries reported in the collision.
