Wind gusts expected to top out at 60 km/h
Residents in Prince Albert, North Battleford and Melfort should be sure to ‘hold onto their hats,’ stick their garbage cans in a secure spot and get ready for a hefty breeze to sweep the region.
Winds will blow and gust between 30 to 60 km/h Tuesday afternoon.
Recently residents may have noticed an uptick in sporadic and severe weather.
“We have a low pressure system that is kind of spinning over Northern Saskatchewan and that’s generating those gusty winds,” Environment and Climate Change Canada Meteorologist Terri Lang said. “We’ve finally got some moisture and that’s helping to drive the showers and thundershowers that we’re seeing.”
