North Battleford’s water tower has sprung a leak

Jul 7, 2019 | 1:03 PM

It would be best to avoid the area of 12 Ave. and 105 St. as North Battleford’s water tower has sprung a leak.

It was first reported online around 11:40 a.m.

An employee with the city expects the water level in the tower will be lowered to stop the leak.

He said a contractor will be called to begin repairs on the tower.

The water tower was constructed in 1949 and has become an iconic part of the city’s skyline.

The tower last leaked in December 2012, when emergency crews knocked a giant icicle off the side.
