Carrot River beginning water main construction on Main Street
Water mains in Carrot River that are nearly 60 years old will be replaced.
Carrot River council decided to replace the water and sewer mains on Main Street. The decision came after Main Street has seen four water interruptions since November 2018 while the town in general has had 13 in total during that timeframe.
Kevin Trew, Carrot River’s town administrator, said construction will begin on Monday, July 15 and last until approximately July 25, with pavement resurfacing taking place in summer 2020.
In the meantime, businesses are expected to stay open.
