Human remains found during RCMP search outside North Battleford

Human remains were found in a rural area outside of North Battleford while RCMP were conducting a ground search as part of an ongoing investigation.

During the search on July 11, a police dog with the North Battleford RCMP located the remains.

Police said in a media release that a forensic autopsy is scheduled next week by the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service to identify the remains.

The investigation remains ongoing.
