Walk for missing women Ashley Morin, Tiki Laverdiere returns home
After three days of walking from Saskatoon to North Battleford to raise awareness about missing woman Ashley Morin her family and supporters returned home late Sunday night.
The family of missing woman Tiki Laverdiere also walked alongside Morin’s family as a sign of solidarity, with the two mothers often walking side by side.
Morin family friend and spokesperson Krista Fox tried to hold back tears as she spoke to a large group of supporters in the parking lot outside the Gold Eagle Casino when they arrived home.
“Three long, hard really tough days,” she said. “But we did it. We brought out more awareness. We brought our beautiful girl’s face out there more.”
