City of Melfort repairs pair of water main breaks on Tuesday

Water advisories are now in place after a pair of water main breaks were repaired around the city of Melfort on Tuesday.

A break on the 300 block of Burrows Avenue East, as well as on Brunswick Street from Park Avenue to Caskey Drive were tended to by city crews.

According to Director of Works and Utilities, Gerald Gilmore, both breaks were related to old metallic cast pipes in the ground.

There is no official timetable on when the water advisories will be lifted.
