Scheer and Vidal make campaign stop in M.L.
The Conservative Party leader ended a tour of Northern Saskatchewan by flipping burgers in Meadow Lake yesterday.
The leader of Canada’s official opposition started in Prince Albert on July 18. He and Gary Vidal, Conservative Candidate for the Desnethé-Missinippi-Churchill River riding, then made a stop in Debden and Big River before ending the day with a barbecue at the Meadow Lake Catholic Church Hall.
At the barbecue, Scheer promised if he’s elected the first piece of legislation Conservative MPs would vote in favour for would be to repeal the carbon tax. Scheer also said his government would scrap the GST from home heating and home energy bills.
Scheer also touched on the trade issues with China during his speech. He said they would pull funding from the Asia Infrastructure Bank and increase inspections on Chinese exports to Canada.
