Successful Crokicurl bonspiel in Melfort

Mar 10, 2019 | 4:27 PM

Melfort’s first-ever Crokicurl bonspiel took place Saturday alongside ‘Go out and play day’ at Memorial Garden.

Bonspiel organizer Shannon Marshall said the day was a great success with four-person teams and two person-teams taking part.

“Each winner got a one-hour private pool rental,” Marshall said. “Melfort Fire Department won the four-person and they decided to donate that prize back to the kids that were participating.”

The day also featured walking bingo, a scavenger hunt, swooshing, and a weiner roast.

Marshall wanted to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out and to the Melfort Youth Evolution for their time in lending a hand in making the day so much fun.

“The sun was shining and it was a good day, I think people were ready to get out of the house and everybody had a ton of fun out here,” Marshall said.
