The flooding in Melville is getting worse.

Early Tuesday morning water began flowing around the dam at the reservoir south of the city. Mayor Walter Streelasky said both St. Peter’s Hospital and the St. Paul Home were evacuated, starting around 5 a.m.

“It’s approximately 157 patients and residents,” said Streelasky. He added everyone is in the process of being moved to the rink in town.
