Co-accused facing murder charge in Jonson homicide scheduled for bail hearing

One of two men facing charges for the death of Mark Douglas Jonson is scheduled for a bail hearing at Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford.

David Keller, who is in custody, is charged with first-degree murder. He appeared in North Battleford provincial court on Thursday via closed-circuit television and had Sept. 26 set for his show cause hearing.

The 47-year-old’s bail supervision report will be forwarded to provincial court following the hearing.

Keller will return to provincial court on Oct. 3.

Jonson, 61, was found dead in a home on 15 Ave. and 100 St. in North Battleford on July 5.

Nicolas Buck is the other person charged in Jonson’s murder. The 22-year-old is facing 10 charges, including first-degree murder related to the incident.
