Stolen firearms and vehicles highlight crime spree in east-central Sask.

Three people have been charged after a string of offences in the Kelvington, Archerwill, and Wadena area.

Greenwater RCMP said the three were responsible for break and enters into 10 homes and garages and eight vehicles, thefts of two vehicles, three long-barrelled firearms, over 1,000 rounds of ammunition, and one compound bow and arrows from Sept. 26 to 28.

Blaze Ahpay, 21, from the Rose Valley area faces charges of possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to order, and possession of stolen property.

He will be in court Nov. 13.

Two male youths from the Rose Valley area have been charged with a total of 43 offences, including break and enter into a dwelling house, break and enter to steal a firearm, and theft of motor vehicle.

One youth was remanded and remains in custody, while the other was remanded and released by provincial court in Rose Valley Oct. 9.

Police continue to search for two additional suspects involved in those incidents, and the investigation continues.
