RCMP arrest man after cannabis, cash found at LLRIB residence

La Ronge RCMP have arrested a 31-year-old man after executing a search warrant at a Lac La Ronge Indian Band residence.
That’s according to an RCMP media release, which states on Oct. 18 at approximately 6 p.m., police executed the warrant following a report of illegal possession and distribution of cannabis at the residence. A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 3.75 pounds of suspected illicit cannabis, $17,800 in Canadian currency and other evidence of drug trafficking.
RCMP have charged Darrius Spence with possession of cannabis for distribution and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
Spence is scheduled to make his first appearance in provincial court in La Ronge on Dec. 16 at 9:30 a.m.
