RCMP investigate after home shot at in Meadow Lake

Police in Meadow Lake are looking for a light tan, possibly white-coloured SUV that is believed to have been involved in a shooting in Meadow Lake.

No one was injured after a home on the 600 block of Sergent Ave. was shot at around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. Six people were inside the home when a single shot from a high-calibre firearm hit the home.

The SUV in question was saw driving east toward Sergent Ave. before turning north on the corner of Sixth St. E.

It is unknown if the shots were fired from the van or by someone on foot.

RCMP in Meadow Lake ask anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward with any information that could help identify the van or the people inside.

At this time, police believe there is no threat to public safety and remind residents to report any suspicious activity to police.
