Single vehicle accident south of Melfort on Highway 6

No injuries have been reported after a single vehicle accident south of Melfort on Tuesday night.

Just before 8 p.m., Melfort Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of the crash , eight miles south of the city on Highway 6.

Emergency crews determined that the vehicle had left the road surface at a high rate of speed and came to rest in the ditch.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was able to get out prior to the arrival of the fire department.
