RCMP seeking assistance to locate missing person

La Ronge RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 55-year-old man.
According to an RCMP media release, Melvin Powder was last seen at a residential address on the 1000 block of Riese Drive in La Ronge on Jan. 1. Further investigation revealed Powder has not been to any of the locations he is known to frequent and has not been in contact with family — a behaviour atypical for Powder.
The release notes Powder was last seen wearing a black jacket with blue jeans, a back hoodie, and white and black sneakers. He is described as 5-9 tall, 141 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Police believe Powder may be between the area of La Ronge and Montreal Lake.
RCMP added there are concerns for Powder’s wellbeing. If you have any information about him, contact the La Ronge RCMP at 306-425-6730.
