Playoffs within reach for La Ronge Ice Wolves
With 10 games left in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s regular season, chances are high the Ice Wolves will make the playoffs.
“We’re not in it for sure,” Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said. “We can’t let our guard down, we have to keep getting better every day and keep preparing and staying focused every game.”
The Ice Wolves are currently sitting sixth in the league and are tied with the Melfort Mustangs with 55 points. So far, the team has 25 wins, 18 loses and three overtime loses after 48 games. The Melville Millionaires are last in the league with 34 points followed by the Weyburn Red Wings with 37.
Kaminski believes the Ice Wolves have a good schedule this month. He noted there’s no reason the team shouldn’t be able to go 10-0 to finish up the end of the season.
